Multimedia Writing assignment, yay! :))

T.G.I.F.

Everyone loves Friday Nights, not only because it is the last day of the week but this  also means “Party All Night!”,  wherein   you could go out with your family and friends without a  worry  since  there  will  be  no school  nor  work  the  following  day. 

Mr. Gabriel Dawson, a Lawyer, was invited in their High School Reunion in Makati, one friday night.  He was very excited to see his friends back in High School, he even brought his SLR to take good pictures of that memorable event of his life. 

When the clock strikes 6, he started to fix the scattered papers on his desk, arranged his things and  immediately  rushed to  his car.   While he was on his way to the reunion, he was thinking of many  things that  might  happen in the party,  if he could still remember the faces and names  of his high school friends,  if their behavior  are still the same, if they have  good and  succesful  life like him and so much more.  Many questions  are  starting  to dwell into his mind,  but there is one thing he wanted to do, to brag his profession and his status in life. 

He arrived at Makati around 8pm, it was  2- hour drive from his firm, that includes the traffic jam he encountered.  He went down from his car, and put the sling of the SLR around his neck to show off to his friends.   When he entered the restaurant, the first person he saw was Ian, his best friend in high school.  He looked around but they were only few people around, he thought that,  maybe others haven’t arrived yet,  so he decided to have some beer and  began to talk  to  Ian.    His  best  friend started to tell the  story of his  life and told him that he still doesn’t have a stable job and his wife doesn’t earn  much.   After hearing Ian’s story,   he felt sorry for him and decided not to tell    his   good   status  in  life. 

It was already past 10,   and  they have discussed almost  everything that happened to their  lives,   they  felt   that  there will be  no  more classmates  that will be coming…   so he and Ian   decided to go ahead  of their  other classmates,  and  planned to   transfer in a smaller  venue to continue their conversation and have more drinks.  They excitedly  talked about their high school days, and  what did  they normally do after classes and their naughty gimmicks. They both have a great time exchanging stories of   their past, they didn’t notice that it was already midnight and they drank too much already.  They both felt   that  they have to go home ,  they said their goodbyes and  promised each other,   that they are  going  to   meet  again some time. 

When he   got home around 2 in the morning,  he realized that he haven’t captured any pictures from the reunion, he got disappointed because all of his plans failed, the picture  taking  and the bragging   didn’t happen.   Irritated and  disappointed,  he tried his best to get some rest and sleep. 

The next day,   he   was  awakened  by a call from his office,   asking   him   if he could report that  day ,  because an  important  client  set an appointment with him at 7 in the morning.   After receiving that call,   he checked   the time and  felt  relieved because   it was only 6 am.   He has a lot of time to prepare, but due to lack of sleep, it’s  hard  for him   to get up from bed,  but  then  he  need  to   dress up  and eat   breakfast immediately…  and  just decided  and  feel   to walk  instead to use  car..   It  was a freezing saturday morning and   it was  a good idea to take a walk,   as he was heading to the main road and was about to cross the street,   he didn’t  bother  to  check  the  cars  passing,   he walked straight ahead and when he was already in the middle of  the  road,  he was distracted by a big spotlight from his left side,  he was surprised  by  a big truck   approaching him, he tried to move forward quickly   but  it  was  too late  and  at  that  moment  he  suddenly  fainted…………. 

As he was  trying  to open his eyes, move his body and trying also to recall what had happened to him,   still  conscious  but  find himself  in a place  full of darkness.   All of a sudden a bit of  light  came  from  nowhere  and   that made him see that his body was full of rust.   Curiousness  came into his mind,  what  made  him rusty all over, and the last event he could remember  was  he  was  on  his  way  to his  work and  that’s  all.

For him to figure out where he was at that  time,  he got up and followed where the light was  coming from,   while he was walking,   he was  forcing his mind what really happened to him.   Then he finally reached the destination of  a  well-lighted place,   he looked back and   found out  that he just came  from a  huge   tunnel.   The place  wherein he is right now  is tremendously  beautiful  and  peaceful place.   He slowly   looked around and check if  there’s  someone  he  could ask for help,    he even shouted   “Anybody There?”, and  waiting   for  a  voice,  a  reply   and   assistance  but   unfortunately  there was  nobody    around. 

Since there was no one in sight,   he just  decided  to wander around  the  beautiful garden ,   very   solemn  place  seems  like  heaven ,  as he was walking slowly,    he reached  a  big   door  and   tried  to  open  it.   Suddenly,  someone   at   his  back  tapped his  shoulder,  he  quickly   turned back  only  to  find   a  man   wearing an all white dress   informing   him   not  to  enter  the  place   because  it is  not  yet  his time.. 

He  felt  disappointed   but   then   he  follow  what  the  man  ordered  him.   He  stayed  in  his  place  and   tried  to  keep  his  self   calm .  He  closed  his  eyes  and   pray …….        

At this  point  of  time,   All his relatives and friends were gathered in his hospital bed, praying….and   waiting for him to wake up  and  be conscious.    Mr. Dawson  is  in  coma!  Until  when?   Only   God  knows!!!
